Second Prize’ triumphs at the fourth Carmen Awards of Andalusian cinema

On February 1st, the Andalusian Film Academy held the 4th Carmen Awards gala of Andalusian cinema at the Gran Teatro de Córdoba. Second Prize’ (La Terraza Films, Áralan Films, Ikiru Films, BTeam Prods, Sideral and Toxicosmos AIE), has won the award for best film.
The film by Isaki Lacuesta and Pol Rodríguez also won Best Screenplay (Fernando Navarro and Isaki Lacuesta), Best Editing (Javier Frutos), Art Direction (Pepe Domínguez, Gigia Pellegrini), Makeup and Hairstyling (Yolanda Piña), Costumes (Lourdes Fuentes), Male Revelation (Cristalino) and Special Effects (María Magnet and Marian Delgado).
The award for best documentary went to ‘Fandango’ (Comunicación Audiovisual), while Alexis Morante won the award for best director for his work in ‘¿Es el enemigo? La película de Gila’. The award for best non-Andalusian feature film went to ‘La estrella azul’ (Mod producciones).
The award for best new director went to Paz Vega for ‘Rita’, a film that also won the awards for best production direction (Sandra Rodríguez, Javier Mateos), original music (Pablo Cervantes), sound (Daniel de Zayas and Jorge Marín) and best new female performance (Paz de Alarcón).
