Pre-production begins on the animated film ‘Tadeo Jones 4’, to be released on August 26, 2026

The fourth installment of the most successful Spanish animation saga, ‘Tadeo Jones’, has begun its pre-production phase with Ikiru Films, Telecinco Cinema, Lightbox Animation Studios, Anangu Grup and TadeoFilms AIE.
The film also has the participation of Mediaset España, Movistar Plus+, Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group, with financing from the ICAA, and distribution in Spain by Paramount Pictures Spain. The film will be released in Spanish theaters on August 26, 2026 and will once again feature Enrique Gato at the helm.
“Starting each Tadeo Jones film is usually an exercise of years to ensure that the new installment of the saga clearly surpasses all previous ones. This new adventure achieves it without nuance and is the biggest challenge to date, turning the world of our beloved characters completely upside down to live a completely different adventure… through time! A complete turnaround that, along with the funniest script we’ve ever written, we’re sure will delight audiences,” said the director.
With a declared official budget of 12.7 million euros, ‘Tadeo Jones 4’ has received 1.4 million euros in the second procedure of the ICAA’s 2023 general grants.
The fourth installment of ‘Tadeo Jones’ will be preceded by the success of the three previous films, which have accumulated more than eight million spectators and 47 million euros in revenues.
