Himalayas, 1999. A journey that will change everything.
We present the official trailer of ‘Valle de sombras’, a thriller full of adventure directed by Salvador Calvo and written by Alejandro Hernández (‘Mientras dure la guerra’, ‘La línea invisible’) set in the landscapes of the Himalayan valley in India.
Miguel Herrán plays the main character in this survival story whose main cast is completed by Susana Abaitua, Iván Renedo, Alexandra Masangkay, Stanzin Gombo and Morup Namgyal.
Himalayan Mountains, 1999. Quique, Clara and little Lucas enjoy their first vacation together in the north of India. One night, sleeping outside during a storm, they are brutally attacked by bandits. Hours later, Quique is rescued by a native and taken to a remote isolated village in the mountains. There, incommunicado and with no possibility of returning to civilization, he remains until the arrival of winter, which allows the formation of the only way out of the village: The frozen river.
The way back, full of dangers and in the company of several children from the village, will test everything Quique has learned during his stay in the heart of the Himalayas.
Produced by Ikiru Films, La Terraza Films, Jaime Ortiz de Artiñano of Atresmedia Cine and El Reino de Zanskar AIE, ‘Valle de sombras’ will hit Spanish theaters on January 12, 2024 with three Goya Award nominations under its arm: Best Production Direction, Best Makeup and Hairstyling and Best Special Effects.
