Daniel Calparsoro has finished shooting the action thriller Mikaela, a story of a heist that takes place during a big traffic jam on the highway, caused by a snowstorm.

Antonio Resines heads the cast as a veteran cop whose career is hanging by a thread, and who will have to take charge, whether he likes it or not, of a robbery of an armored car that, like him, has been stuck on the highway because of the storm ‘Mikaela’. He will have the unexpected help of a young aspiring Civil Guard who has just left the academy, played by Natalia Azahara. Actors Adriana Torrebejano, Anton Pavel, Cristina Kovani, Oleg Kricunova, Peter Nikolas, Roger Casamajor, Javier Albalá, Patricia Vico, Rocío Muñoz-Cobo, Bernabé Fernández, Richard Holmes and Mario Zorrilla complete the cast.

The film, scripted by Arturo Ruíz Serrano, was shot in several locations in the Community of Madrid and Segovia. Its director describes Mikaela as “an action thriller with a human background where the characters stand out in a powerful way. It is a story of people on the edge,” Calparsoro assures.
